Vasse has grown faster than almost anywhere in the South West, and what it has not grown yet is a low-tox salon. Ours is in Dunsborough, about fifteen minutes west along the Bussell Highway.

Getting here from Vasse

The salon is at 236 Naturaliste Terrace in Dunsborough, upstairs above Ghanda and Evolution Surf. From Vasse it is west on the Bussell Highway and then Caves Road, around 18 km and a quarter of an hour.

It is the same road the Busselton traffic uses, so the run is quietest outside the school drop-off and pick-up windows. If you are booking colour, the earlier end of the day gives the toner time and gets you back before the afternoon fills up.

Vasse questions

Do you have a hair salon in Vasse?

No. Astair Organic Hair and Make-up has two salons, one in Dunsborough and one in Margaret River. Dunsborough is the closer of the two to Vasse, about fifteen minutes west at 236 Naturaliste Terrace.

How far is the Dunsborough salon from Vasse?

Around 18 km, or roughly fifteen minutes west along the Bussell Highway and Caves Road. Allow a little longer over summer and the school holidays, when Caves Road carries the beach traffic.

Is organic hair colour as long-lasting as regular colour?

Yes. NATULIQUE is a low-ammonia, certified organic colour that covers grey and holds its tone; what it leaves out are the pesticides, antibiotics and hormones found in conventional formulas. It is gentler on the scalp, which matters if you colour regularly or you have reacted to a salon colour before.

Can you do the whole family in one trip?

Yes, and it is the usual way Vasse clients book it. Cuts for adults and children, colour, extensions and make-up all happen at the one salon, so a trip in covers everybody rather than turning into three separate drives.
